Our Mission

Our mission is to provide affordable, independent living to senior citizens on a limited income in an attractive, safe, and socially supportive environment.

To fulfill that mission, St. Francis Manor offers both studio and one-bedroom apartments to seniors 62 years of age and over on limited incomes and who are able to live independently. Since 1974 thousands of seniors, regardless of religion, race, creed, or orientation have lived happy, productive golden years with us.

Studio apartments currently rent for $380/month for the smaller units, larger units for $400, and lakeside for $415. One-bedroom apartments currently rent for $615 and $640, depending on location.

Compare that to the Fair Market Rental (FMR) for an efficiency in Vero Beach, which is $845.00.  A one-bedroom apartment is $1048.00.  Actual rental prices have reached an average of 22% above FMR this year.

There are a limited number of parking spaces available for an additional $10 monthly fee. The rent includes trash pick-up, sewer, water, refrigerator, stove and air conditioner. Residents are responsible for paying their electric, cable and phone. Laundry rooms are located in each building. Smoking is not permitted inside apartments.  No pets are allowed.

“I appreciate having such a wonderful home, great staff, and activities.” — long-term resident

Our peaceful, beautiful setting with more than 80 shade trees is unique within the county. Located on five acres of park-like grounds, a small lake with a boardwalk provides the focus for this lovely community. The entire 116 unit complex provides one-level access, with no barriers.

The Manor offers independent living; we are not equipped for nursing care, so residents must be self-sufficient.

The Manor offers a wide variety of social activities for those who wish to participate. We schedule weekly bus trips for shopping. And we have lots of celebrations: check out out Photo Gallery!
